Lynn County Three-Day Releases
No official Lynn County roster, archive, or 72-hour release view was found. The Lynn County Sheriff page gives a custody-status link and office contact, but it shows no released-person rows. It states no refresh cadence, retention period, or weekend publishing practice.
A three-day review is still useful as an inquiry window. Ask the Sheriff's Office to search the complete period and return the actual event date, time, disposition, authority, and destination. Do not repurpose a current-custody result as a historical list. A current result answers where someone is now; a release record answers what happened during the period.
The official source shown here is the evidence for the direct-contact route.

The screenshot shows why a three-day search must be assembled from records rather than read from a county table.
Check Lynn County 72-Hour Records
Define an exact start and end time before contacting the jail. A calendar-day request and a rolling 72-hour request can cover different events. Call Lynn County Jail at 806-561-4505 and identify the person and booking. Use the 24-hour release list process when only today's activity matters.
- Record the full name, DOB, booking number or date, arresting agency, and charging county.
- State the precise three-day range, including dates and approximate times.
- Ask whether each departure was community release or transfer, and request the receiving agency.
- Check IVSS-Counties for a current match or saved alert, without treating no result as proof.
- Obtain the sheriff disposition and relevant court order for durable confirmation.
If Lynn held the person for another county, contact that county's clerk or jail too. The jail may own the physical timestamp while another court owns the release authority.
Lynn County Three-Day Fields
These fields belong in a written request because the county publishes no list. They also prevent three separate days from being blurred into a single status.
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name, DOB, booking ID | Connects the event to one person and booking. |
| Booking date and arresting agency | Separates repeat or cross-county events. |
| Release date and time | Places the departure inside the requested window. |
| Reason or disposition | Distinguishes bond, time served, dismissal, order, and transfer. |
| Authority | Identifies the court or instrument controlling departure. |
| Destination | Shows community release or continued custody. |
Ask for the booking sheet, bond instrument, transfer form, and releasable hold entries when needed. Not every field is necessarily public, and local labels may differ.
Lynn Weekend Release Verification
No Lynn-specific weekend, holiday, release-door, or processing schedule was verified. Do not assume the jail follows a generic cutoff. A three-day range helps a requester cover closed-office periods and uncertain notification timing, but it does not create an official weekend list.
Ask for the recorded release time rather than the time a message arrived. Court processing, record entry, and notification transmission are distinct steps. For one named person whose path may extend beyond the county, use the Lynn County release search.
Note: State and county offices may keep different systems, so preserve exact timestamps and source names when records disagree.
Request Lynn Three-Day Records
Call first to learn the accepted written-delivery method, then send a narrow request under Government Code Chapter 552. Lynn County Sheriff's Office is at 810 Lockwood Street, Tahoka, TX 79373; phone 806-561-4505; fax 806-561-4658. No dedicated sheriff request form, public email, fee table, or retention schedule was found.
Request the release or transfer record, date and time, disposition, destination, authority instrument, and releasable hold entries for the exact range. Texas law generally calls for prompt action and usually a response step within ten business days. Clarification, redaction, estimates, or an Attorney General ruling can affect production.
TDCJ is a separate channel. Its public search covers current state prisoners and is at least 24 hours old. A person who left TDCJ needs a TDCJ historical or release record, not a Lynn County three-day request.
Why Lynn Names May Disappear
The sheriff page provides notification access but no roster or short-term archive. IVSS-Counties also warns that a person no longer in custody may not appear. Missing status cannot distinguish bond from dismissal, transfer, ICE removal, or a data mismatch.
Call for the disposition and destination. Lynn's official minutes document that cross-county housing occurs, so the prosecuting county may hold the court record even when Lynn recorded the physical departure. That is the key local data quirk behind a careful 72-hour review.
Trace Lynn Three-Day Handoffs
A three-day review should follow the person across agency boundaries instead of searching the same county source repeatedly. If Lynn reports a transfer to TDCJ, the TDCJ current search can show the person only after state intake and data entry. It includes current prisoners, updates on working days, and uses data that are at least 24 hours old. That delay can leave a gap between the county transfer and the state result.
If Lynn charges ended and immigration custody is possible, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator promptly. It covers current ICE detainees and a limited recent-release period. A no-result can have several causes and is not proof of a Lynn release. For a federal pretrial matter, identify the federal court order and actual USMS holding site because USMS has no general historical former-prisoner locator.
For each handoff, write down the sending facility, receiving agency, event time, and source. The sheriff transfer entry is the bridge. The receiving system then owns the next custody record. This method prevents the phrase “released by Lynn” from being stretched into a claim that no other agency held the person.
Lynn Release Alerts Across Three Days
Texas replaced the former county VINE service with IVSS-Counties in September 2025. Lynn's sheriff page still uses VINELink wording, while county minutes document an existing SAVINS agreement and vendor transition. Current searches and registrations should use IVSS-Counties rather than old instructions that center on a four-digit VINE PIN.
IVSS-Counties can send events such as booking, release, court changes, escape, death, and transfer to TDCJ. A registered alert can help reconstruct which day an event occurred. Keep the message and its timestamp, but ask the sheriff for the actual recorded event time. Transmission time can differ from physical departure, and the alert may not state bond, dismissal, time served, or destination.
The current support number is 866-268-8959. Account creation showed temporary unavailability on the research date, so support or any offered no-account registration route may be needed. Notification is useful for future changes as well as the present three-day review, but it is not a permanent released-person archive.
When an alert and jail response disagree, compare identifiers and timestamps before seeking correction. One may describe transmission while the other records departure. Preserve both and ask each agency what its status label means.
